The banning phase in League of Legends i think could be done by the AI, because in almost all ranked games you see the same 6 bans with minor variations, depending on what elo and zone you play in. With mid beeing anithing from the caster developed, to more classic ones like Morgana,Cassiopeia, Brand, Ahri etc. Oh and they really want their Taric, Alistar or Blitzkrank as support. As an esport format, Captain Mode is much more flexible, and has more decision making. So the bans and picks will still probably be totally on preference,be it that of the captain or of the plebs in his team, depending on the inteligence of the captain, notions of counter-picking will appear, but more commonly, the flavour of the month heroes will be banned.
